Power Returns – Let’s Sting The Bees
Alan Power has now completed his three match suspension and looks sure to return to the helm for the tough trip to Barnet FC on Saturday. To his credit the skipper has not eased off during the enforced lay-off and is fighting fit and raring to go.
Power came back from the summer break, fitter and stronger than he has ever been at Lincoln, clearly determined to do the captain’s armband proud. The sending off against Cambridge was a bit harsh on Alan, who has been keen to do his defensive duty. Thus far he has a red and a yellow to his name in his first four outings of the season, illustrating how he has risen to a new and somewhat different challenge for his skills.
Most Imps prefer to see him scheming and showing the undoubted creative and attacking side to his game. The enforced lay-off will see the skipper – a caged lion – hit the ground running on Saturday suggesting a sting in the tail for the Bees at the New Hive. He will certainly lead from the front, with perhaps 400 strong set to follow.
