LCFC Season Ticket Comparison,£££ Cashback & Finance 2013/14

The prices for 2013/14 have seen prices maintained, although Stacey West regulars will see an increase as they move to the Co-Op or former Echo Stand. Further, the family Stand option is no longer valid  as it will house away fans, for the majority of BSP games next year. Home end fans looking for the ‘behind the goal experience’ could do so and, get a slight discount into the bargain, if they elect to get a season ticket in the South Park End. It should be noted that the Echo Stand will see a name change  and hopefully some long overdue sponsorship when the club announce a new sponsor (as a guide, in the good old Days the club got £20k per year from this). Could this have something to do with this years ‘mystery investor’.

This years renewal discount ends 18th May. Beyond that a discount is available, under the new purchases price,  which will run until 29/6/13. This will again see £20 off  for adults and concessions and a £10 discount for Juniors.  The adult and Concession prices do not include Trust membership, available for a further £15, although Juniors do still get their membership free. The former early bird scheme continues to be referred to as the ‘New purchase price’ and will run until 29/6/12, after which a full price will be in operation.  The pricing in this and the full price, payable from 1/7/12, for season tickets in all stands is the same as last season.

Remember that you can redeem any unused match stubs from last season. These are worth:  Adults £5 per voucher: Disabled & Age Concessions £3 per voucher: Juniors £1 per voucher
For every new Adult or Age Concession Season Ticket holder introduced by a 2013/14 Season Ticket holder, the Club will pay £20 cash back to the introducer whilst for every new Junior Season Ticket holder introduced by a 2013/14 Season Ticket Holder, the Club will pay £10 cash back to the introducer. There is no limit to the number of new Season Ticket holders a 2012/13 Season Ticket holder can introduce, so you could earn enough cash back to pay for your own Season Ticket!!

800 Season Tickets And Rising

The faithful appear to be keeping the faith with 800 fans taking advantage of the early summer discount period.  Although the cheaper seats have now gone the viewing options remain the same as well as a £20 refund every time you introduce a new season ticket holder.  Why if you rounded up enough strays the club would pay you to watch them.

It is certainly nice to see the old Clanford End spirit alive and well. It is going to be a tough year ahead.  Perhaps the introduction of a 6 pack could tempt a few more to fund the summer rebuild.

Mr Dorrian: Sow And Ye Shall Reap

The Lincoln City season ticket pricing policy has in reality shown scant regard for the economic climate or indeed the elasticity of demand amongst its fans, their faith hanging by a Blue Square thread. That means Bob Dorrian’s loyalty plea and the need to maintain the budget will fall on many a deaf ear. The fans are being expected to invest in their team yet the directors are not announcing their own intentions to dig deep for the benefit of the team and season ahead. Yes Bob has put significant sums in to plug the gap, but if he and his peers are not prepared to speculate to accumulate, why should the sympathy close be expected to work with fans. Football and blind faith must find their place amongst  the painful life choices we all must make.
Thank you for reading Neil Gentleman-Hobbs

Fact is no new concessions have been made in terms of pricing to meet the fans half way at a time when many are facing a rising cost of living coupled with short time or unemployment. They are expected to pay up front for an entertainment business  that is anything but. The price has stayed the same for three seasons yet the  product is perceived to be growing more inferior by the year.  To use boardroom speak the Marginal Utility is on the wane with demand sure to follow suit.  If you look at the pitch for last season HERE you will see that there are no reductions, not even an increase in renewal discount to reward season ticket loyalty beyond last year. The £20 cash-back for each new season ticket holder one introduces,  is the only give in truth in a statement of expectant take.

The fans loyalty is beyond question, their suffering and memories painfully sharp. Show some ambition and they will come, more so perhaps than even cut price deals. To this effect Season ticket prices were maintained after a drop from the football League. Now they have been maintained again, but without the carrot we crave. But then that is the perception of the Status Quo who have strengthened their position without strengthening things on the pitch.  We are a football team, forget the emperors clothes routine and the sympathy angle, do your job and take this club by the scruff of the neck and inspire the fans if you expect them to dig deep. Football has a brand loyalty like no other yet the game is up for many fans who have been fobbed off with park football at professional football prices for too long now.

Investment is relative – £250 or £300 to a fan is as significant as £75,000 to a millionaire.  Yet those holding the purse strings at the club are doing little to entice the money from the purses of the lifeblood and raison d’etre of the club.  For years the board even avoided putting their hands in their pockets whilst playing on our brand loyalty like vultures whilst they feasted on the rich pickings.  Bob saved us and for that we all thank him, however its business as usual at the bank, despite a thin PR veneer to the usual smoke and mirrors.

Let us hope David Holdsworth can indeed build a team on the cheep to get us off to a flyer next season. Because otherwise the six pack offers may not be enough to placate that next £150k cash call.   For those feeling guilty at not buying a season ticket, don’t. In turning up for the first home game of the season and then buying a six pack you have still met your commitment to the cause half way. After all no one at our football club at present has deep enough pockets,  the ability or for that matter inclination to fund our ambition do they? The laws of reciprocity like those of diminishing returns are harsh.  Surely few  in the backbreaking breadbasket of Britain need reminding of the old adage sow and ye shall reap.  Then again elasticity like reciprocity can be forgiving and should we speculate to accumulate the Imps will come.  For pride, passion and the football the foundry and the field folk would always come to see the Mighty Imps.

Lincoln City Season Tickets Price Comparison 2011/12 & 2012/13

The Lincoln City season ticket prices for 2012/13 have been revealed today. In their wisdom Bob & The Board  have maintained season ticket prices for next season, with this years renewal discount (beyond that of any new purchases prior to 30/6/12)  seeing £20 off  for adults and concessions and a £10 discount for Juniors.  The adult and Concession prices do not include Trust membership, available for a further £15, although Juniors will get their membership free.

The early bird scheme is now being referred to as New purchase price and will run until 30/6/12, after which a full price will be in operation.  The pricing in this and the full price, payable from 1/7/12, for season tickets in all stands is the same as last season.
