Bristol  City scouted and signed the local lad as a schoolboy  where he progressed through the youth set-up to earn a three year deal.  His pace and strength saw him most notably loaned to Hereford and Aldershot where his assists and skilful dribbling  had fans raving that he would go far. However City did not feel he was good enough for the Championship and released him allowing Hereford to snap him up where he scored on his debut.

Marlon scored 7 goals in 12 starts and 13 substitute appearances for Hereford last season before earning a return to the Football League in the summer. Thus far he has struggled to get a look in with 6 strikers on the books despite scoring against Accrington in one of only two starts for the Shakers. So far this season the pacey bustling six-footer has been limited to a further 6 appearances from the bench.

Simmo had been after the lad in the summer but Bury pipped him to the punch. However big mate and ex-Imp Ben Futcher alerted Simmo to his availability with the manager biting his hand off and concluding the deal late last night.
