Tommo Will Score On Aggborough Danceless Double Date!
Ben Thomlinson returns just in time for the Kidderminster Harriers and Worcester City games, both of which will be contested at Aggborough Stadium on consecutive Saturdays. Tommo knows a bit about ‘Agg’, already averaging a goal a card the bunch of fives penalty box battler will be determined to fire the Imps to glory in both games, because that is what and who he is. So beware the Tommo Hawk oh Harrier foes.
Vic Erzantarz gives it both barrels
Tommo, an heroic talisman, runs for every lost cause whistle to whistle laughing in the face of the odds. Lincoln so missed those battling qualities against Aldershot lost week, but red card apart we will have him for another 5 goals and doubtless five yellows, until the disciplinary demons rob us again. Ben is not so much a dirty player but the physical side comes with the territory for those under 6 foot who have to feast on the scraps. You would not change him for the world and your Uncle Vic still fancies him for a 20-goal haul this season. At his current rate of cards that could be more uphill than Underhill, as each subsequent ban earns an additional day off.
One player who cannot return from the football equivalent of the naughty step is influential Harriers right-midfielder James Dance, who will miss the game as he is due to serve the second of a three match ban. Kidderminster failed in their appeal to overturn the red card issued in the 4-1 demolition against Forest Green Rovers during their last home game. Dance saw red after going face-to-face with Raccine after the defender is alleged to have pulled him up by his hair during the final moments of the match. As the red was for violent conduct still has two to serve after missing the Southport game, specifically Lincoln and Bradford PA in the Cup next week.
This is still going to be a tough ask even with our mean defence. last season we were played off the park 3-0 but this season we may just get the luck that has eluded us in the last few games and come back with a smash and grab. No one will be more determined to put himself about for that cause than Tommo. The forwards have been less than striking so far this season. Rowe has a knock but Fairhurst just doesn’t seen right to me, with his ability and shooting boots on he could score for fun in this division and then move on up the ladder and earn a good living from the game.
Hopefully Yussuff will also be given a bit of time to get back to the form that will see him ransack this division. He is that good and with the gamble on his debilitating injury hopefully paying off we could have pace, brilliance and several thousand pound at the bank during the course of the coming season. He really is that good – just believe in yourself Adi because all at STMI Towers have been willing you all the way! Same with Wrighty, if he can get the ball to feet and get his confidence going he too can pillage and plunder aplenty. I would just love to see all three of them wade in against the Cods over Christmas as the Dambusters raise the rusty old Osmand stand to the ground!
