20 Grand Cash Boost For Simmo?

The FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round tie at Worcester City should be worth £20,000 to Lincoln City if one includes the £12.500 prize money and share of the gate.  So the two questions are can we win it and will the board give the manager the money to strengthen the side in the loan market?

With prices just £12 for adults, £8 concessions, £5 for 16-21’s and £3 for under 16’s at least 5-1,000 look set to travel next weekend to swell the gate to anywhere between 1500 and 2,000+.  Worcester normally get  500+ for Skrill North home games.

Worcester vacated their famous old St Georges Road Stadium at the end of last season, a venue that saw some huge crowds in its day.  in 1959 a 15,000 crowd witnessed a 2-1 win over Liverpool, in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup, triggered the sacking of Phil Trainer to usher in the famous Bill Shankly ‘Boot Room’ era.  However loacal derbies between Kidderminster and Worcester City – just 13 miles apart – see crowds of 3-4,000 suggesting cup fever could see a bumper crowd.

Lincoln are the fourth best travellers in the Skrill Premier including an incredible 574 all the way to Barnet. The chances are the fervour of the cup and the chance to boost the |Imps loan war-chest will see the Imps travel in huge numbers next week.  Lincoln took over 3,104 fans to Bolton not so long ago and between 850 and a thousand to Hyde for the last game of the season.

Ticket prices as follows:-

Adults: £12, Concessions: £8, Young Adults (16-21s): £5, Under-16s: £3
