Imps Relish Worcester City Sauce

Worcester City beat Rugby Town  2-0 last night thanks to two key moments around the hour mark, to grab a valuable £7,500 and set up a lucrative home tie with Lincoln City. The Imps will be sure to take at least 500 to a side that have only lost once in the last seven games after a tricky start to the season.

Twelve minutes into the second half Glover saw an effort saved by keeper Cooper but followed up in instinctive poacher style to bury the rebound.  Seven minutes later box of tricks Glover then fouled by Gudger allowing Thorley to beat Cooper from the spot.

The Lincoln City management duo were there taking notes and will have food for though for the fourth Round qualifying banana-skin that now awaits the Imps. Despite being 19th in the Skrill North Worcester have kept their best form for the Cup, albeit against underdogs, but they will be fired up to take an ex-League scalp in front of their own fans at Aggborough stadium, shared with Kidderminster Harriers, a week on Saturday.
