Injury Update: Hatters & Imps Walking Wounded

Luton Town manager John Still and Lincoln City manager Gary Simpson look set to play the same winning sides if the pre-match mind games are to be believed. Then again both managers are adept at mind games with sage Still keen to counter Simmo’s six-foot soldiers’ height and physical presence.  He is realistically unlikely to do a Richard Money and put out the biggest 11 he can find in the local area irrespective of their natural playing positions.

Still has concerns over the size of the Lincoln lads whilst Simmo is clearly aware of the quality of the top Hatters counterparts.  Neither appear to be making changes, suggesting they might.  Still has inferred knocks may play a part more than tactics – a likely story given the six foot soldiers –  whereas Simmo may feel Wright could last the full ninety minutes along with Fairhurst and Rowe who have been nursing knocks.

Simmo only has one injury to contend with, Yussuf, who despite career saving treatment appears to be struggling with an injury that cost him his chances at Leicester City and Burton prior to the Imps taking a calculated risk in the summer. Still meanwhile has Shaw, Charles and Lacey back in training, but fitness suggests they are a week away.  Indeed, so Lacey and Charles, who played in a development game on Wednesday, could well be in the line up then?
