Farman Ready and Waiting

Paul Farman, normally the difference between a point or a hiding for the Imps, has almost been able to take his pipe and slippers onto the stage at the Theatre of the absurd.  But he and Preece have not been getting complacent putting the hours in on the training pitch to ensure the heroic keeper is not found wanting when the need arises.

Paul is of course from Newcastle whilst Preece and Brown are from Sunderland, but the accent is close enough. The  North-East duo are probably the only two that can fully oondahstaaand Grant Brown, although an interpreter may soon be required given the abundance of Yorkshire accents at the training ground.  That said some of the ‘French’ is also beyond the vocabulary of Mo Fofana – a Frenchman by birth.

Farman has only had to make ten saves so far this season and four of those are crosses.  But when he has been called into action Farman has not let the side down as usual.  After being overlooked for England C inclusion you get the feeling his return to the limelight is not that far away.
