Connor Robinson is on the verge of a loan deal to Gainsborough Trinity, with Karl Cunningham and Jordan Thomas also topping a youth list that looks set to give our youngsters vital match experience at other local clubs.

Gary Simpson hinted that the young squad players would be given loan opportunities when the loan window opens a week after the transfer window closes at 23:00 on September 2nd 2013. Connor Robinson is already in discussions according to the grapevine with Gainsborough Trinity the first port of call.

In 2012/13 Connor tried a March loan to Worksop for a month, under the stewardship of Simon Clark. It did not work out with him making just two sub appearances in a season that could have been so much more.  His cameos at the Bank were still a treat to behold with 4 goals in 5 starts and just 682 minutes of first team football.

Connor will be 19 in October so he still has plenty of time to develop and prove himself with his contract due to expire next summer.
