Vics Rant: FourFourTwo: Imps will Be 18th

Lincoln are rated as no better than 18th despite an incredible influx of talent from Preston, Sheffield Wednesday, Doncaster Rovers et al.   Oh and spare a thought for Aldershot Town, down thanks to a 10 point deduction, despite the new Chelsea handout and 46 games to play. Luton Town, my tip to win it under John Still (9-2 on ODDSCHECKER) is  rightly seen as a play-off contender, but in truth this article is no more than League 1, League 2 and Conference fans have come to expect.

Vic Erzantarz, former League 2 wizened & waterlogged has-been hack, spray-tans his suspicious striped suntan (after returning from a very dry and somewhat extended A-Z  Of Hacking Conference) and gives it both barrels…………………………

You buy it, think ‘is that all’ and vow to never do it again…and again…..and again, drat and double drat, the cunning headline ruse has done us again and they know they have have got us and our cash for another year.

Before burning mine – well I admit, simple things please simple gin addled minds – and refusing to ever purchase the publication again (LOL what have they lost in the bigger scheme of things) the additional snippet, strikes me. The one that Grimsby – the fishy foe -will finish second, just about finished me for the day. Well that and the bucket of Pimms (with extra extra extra gin) I needed to down in one (please drink responsibly – try a straw in your Stella).  Firm play-off contenders last year, Forest Green Rovers, remember, finished 10th despite throwing money at it,  Fact is no one knows how a team is going to gel until the muck and bullets start flying.

Well to cut to the chase, the Imps, indeed the division as a whole, got very few column inches in an article that covers 24 teams with 20+ crews of artisans set for a marathon 46 match melee, that has clearly not exactly been researched in too great a depth. But then modern commerce dictates that Leagues 1, 2 and the Skrill Premier League get short shrift compared to the Premiership and Championship heavyweights every time.

It reads simply

Lincoln City

Two seasons of struggle in the Conference so far; don’t expect to much to change for the cash-strapped Imps  18th

Key man Alan Power.

Has anyone heard of ………………..
