Sly Fox Sinclair Signs Akinbiyi, Darkwah & Chimbonda

Frank Sinclair has brought in former Leicester City, Bristol City & Gillingham striker Ade Akinbiyi, Stockport County forward Cameron Darkwah and even played Wigan & Spurs defender Pascal Chimbonda as a guest in  Saturday’s 1-5 friendly defeat against Chelsea. Frank was a popular player in his time at Lincoln and STMI wish him well.

(Biopics on both Frank & Ade are available at the bottom of the article).

Thanks for reading Neil Gentleman-Hobbs

Frank, one of Jacko’s Magnificent Seven in 2008,  is winding down his career at Colwyn Bay (a haunt of Dany Lloyd) and has just been given the player manager role at Llanelian Road on a permanent basis, with Ade Akinbiyi coming in as a playing coach and assistant. The two certainly have ambitious plans with the Skrill North side also investing in young winger Jamie Matthews from FC United of Manchester .  A clever player in his day, Frank was surprisingly loaned by Jacko to Wycombe Wanderers during the season and helped the Chairboys win promotion from League Two, before being one of the 7 released at the end of the season.

The Duo – Frank especially looking every bit the young and up and coming manager – are certainly showing the benefit of their contacts.  Both players look set to play some decent football to hopefully tempt ex clubs Wrexham (very local) and Leicester to give them a bit of a leg up in their promotion bid by supplying a few loans to get them started.   Although the headline signings are impressive Frank will clearly want to build on the 6 match winning streak that saved Bay from relegation last season. It earned him the managers job on a full time basis as well as April’s manager of the month award whilst still the caretaker.

Good luck Frank, thanks for some priceless moments, just let Adi look after the shooting, you know what you were like for own goals.
