Northern Ireland proved a fruitful source of talent for Lincoln when Simmo and physio ‘Oakesey’ drove up and landed McAuley and Jeff Hughes for Lincoln. Indeed the talent spotter has uncovered a few more from there or thereabouts over the years. Lincoln are currently looking at two players from Glenavon in the NFL Premiership. The first is teenager Matt Rooney a pacey and exciting winger and the second, defender Sean McCashin, is 22 with recent international experience in the NI U21’s side.

The Imps are also looking at striker Tom Williams and experienced defender Luke Foster who was released from Preston this summer. There is also a final another mystery lad who has to be at least 6′ 4″ who looks very exciting indeed.

Fans will get a chance to look at the lads during the game against Lincoln United this Saturday.
