Are TWO Strikers Set To Sign?

Two proven strikers are on the verge of signing deals at Lincoln City as discussions continue ahead of the Imps full return to training at Washingborough on Monday. The club are in a position to sign both, should deals be concluded, in what could prove to be as sensational as Simon Yeo & Gary Taylor-Fletcher’s oh so short spells at the club.

It would be imprudent to give away the names of the two players, but STMI, is excited by the standard of the two strikers and the fact that the deals appear to be 90% there. Both players show a strong desire to come to the club, but The Imps do have options with 7 trialists arriving on Monday. The manager is looking for 4 players to boost the squad to 21 plus the youngsters. The void would appear to be in the forward, wide midfield and centre-back area, with cover at full-back.

The Imps have put a bid in for one of the strikers, according to a source at his parent club, a fellow Conference National  side ( The BSP deal has ended with no sponsorship  or TV deal yet agreed).  The players and their representatives have been in contact with the club this week and discussions continue to progress.  A decision is expected from one in the next few days, however the transfer fee may hold up the second deal.

Both players are more than capable of scoring 20 goals for the Imps with the exciting midfield Lincoln have put together.  Both have pace, although one is a taller version of goal machine Gary Taylor-Fletcher – he can come from the channel and let rip with devastating effect.  If he signs a tenner at the bookies on 20 goals would be a good bet. The other player is a replacement for Vadaine Oliver, tall, still young, but strong and more than capable of getting at least 15 goals next season. He has fetched money in the past and hit double figures last season.
