Imps Aim To Play Next Season

The Imps look set to play football next season if the captures of Stockport County stars Danny Rowe, John Nolan and flying full-back Sean Newton are anything to go by. Ex Silkmen Wade Fairhurst and Burton Albion striker Ad Yussuf are two more great captures and Miller and Gray can use their feet as well as those arms that supply javelin throws to cause havoc for a target man or fox in the box.

The trio will join Alan Power and the six-foot Sincil soldiers in a side that has the spine to compete with the big boys in a 46-match marathon of a season. Although the Imps have a bottom 6 budget they look as if they will be there or there abouts as Simmo aims to put the smile back on Sincil faces. While the pitches are playable the Imps will be planning to pass.

Should the Imps make the play-offs it could mean 49 games, plus cup commitments. The Trophy and FA Cup are seen as vital income streams by the manager who is aiming to create a new dynasty at the club to pave the way for a return to the Football League as soon as possible.

Although this season is a tough ask, the Management is looking to bring in at least 3 new faces before the season starts as well as loans to ensure the side realises the potential shared by a season ticket surge. Ticket sales are believed to be just about to break through the 800 barrier as the second discounted period also sees impressive sales so far.
