Imps & 8 BSP Clubs Receive £11,313 Boost
BSP rivals Hereford United, Luton Town, Lincoln City, Alfreton, Wrexham, Macclesfield Town, Nuneaton, Kidderminster Harriers, Forest Green Rovers and Braintree Town will all receive £11,313 thanks to qualifying for last years first round of the FA Cup. This is another great, often hidden, example of what the FA give back to non-league clubs.
Simmo will receive the boost to his war-chest after the FA announced that the 32 non-league clubs who played in the FA Cup first round last season will each get the five-figure bonus, thanks to the FA Cup pool. This is based on a 5% cut from any replays from Round 3 onwards. Last year Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea all featured in lucrative replays, resulting in a record payout.
The 32 clubs are as follows:-
Cambridge City, Boreham Wood, Alfreton, Wrexham, Harrogate, Macclesfield, Stockport, Met Police, Slough, Luton, Nuneaton, Lincoln, Kidderminster, Guiseley, Barrow, Forest Green, Bromley, Bradford PA, Arlesey, Yate, Chelmsford, Ebbsfleet, Bishop’s Stortford, Hastings, Hendon, Fylde, Dorchester, Hereford, Altrincham, Gloucester, Mansfield, Braintree.
