Si Yeo: Simmo Believes, The Imps Believe, I Believe – Do You?
Simon Yeo urges Lincoln City fans to believe at the most vital time in the clubs history – during the two games against Tamworth and Hyde – that will define the future of our club. Simon would gladly trade every derby goal against Grimsby in exchange for the chance to bag a miss-hit winner off the nose or toe on Saturday – if he could. Si urges Imps to roll up in our thousands and will us a winner on Saturday.

“A non playing Saturday, is never an easy one for a player. You feel helpless, but you back the lads, keep their chins up and have faith in the boys regardless. Simmo, is a master at this and will have prepared the lads for these two, knowing that it was always gonna come down to these last 2 battles. Its cut to the chase, its time for the boots to do the talking.
“But remember the team includes the fans, because you are the reason there is a Lincoln City Football club to represent the pride and dreams of this beautiful City. You have to believe, because we pros feed on your energy, expectation and desire. Its terrific when things go right but its just as vital when we are scrapping too. You have to know that these lads and Gary and Grant will battle for you to the end. Everyone can see how they have prized and valued the meaning of the stripes over the years – and so do the players now if the last 6 weeks is anything to go by.”
“I would love to help on the pitch, but although the heart is willing, half the head and the battle scarred body know better. Two 90 minute oppoertunities to shine in the stripes so the lads just need to believe in themselves and give Simmo and you fantastic fans 100%. Believe in your mental strength and ability. Give the fans passion and continue to show the fans how proud you are to wear the shirt. Because a win on Saturday will be one of your great career memories. One to treasure in years to come. I still get mine out, in an occasional quiet moment and relive the memories, great times with those here and recently departed.
“I urge my fellow Imps to stand together and back ’em into every challenge and every last kick until the whistle blows. Roar ’em on Silence those lambs on and off the pitch. Keep the faith, it will all work out in the end, my soldiering and footballing memoires have shown me the power and benefit of belief! Because next season will see the rise of the Imps under Simmo and his six or even seven foot soldiers. It’s not if he can get them, but when he can get them. If you have played with Futch you will know exactly what I mean”
