The Tale of The Tape

The Mighty Imps sit 18th, four points clear of the drop zone.  Saviour Simmo’s target of 12 points is already a third of the way through with Telford to play at home and Nuneaton, Alfreton and Hyde to play away.  bar that we have two home games against Cambridge and finally Tamworth, as well as tricky trips to Braintree, Kidderminster and Luton Town. Our final game of the season will be at Hyde.

The Road Ahead

With 8 games to play and 8 points to get STMI predicts the points we will take over the next six weeks

Mar 12 19:45 Lincoln City  v  Wrexham 0 – L
Mar 16 15:00  Nuneaton Town  v  Lincoln City 3 – W
Mar 23 15:00  Lincoln City  v  AFC Telford United   3 – W
Mar 26 19:45  Braintree Town  v  Lincoln City   0 – L
Mar 30 15:00  Alfreton Town  v  Lincoln City   3 – W
Apr 1 15:00 Lincoln City  v  Cambridge United   1 – SD
Apr 6 15:00 Kidderminster Harriers  v  Lincoln City   0 – L
Apr 9 19:45 Luton Town  v  Lincoln City   0 – L
Apr 13 15:00 Lincoln City  v  Tamworth   1 – SD
Apr 20 17:15 Hyde  v  Lincoln City   0 – L

If we can get another 11 points, it will put us 3 clear of Simmo’s target with safety surely on the cards.  Nuneaton and Telford will be a big part of that, so three points in each of those six-pointers is vital because Hyde will be motivated to the eyeballs in their own back yard on the final day.

Keeper corner-  Paul Farman

He has been brilliant and saved us far more points than he has cost us, earning a call up to the England C team.  Paul has manged 5 clean sheets and averaged a goal every 53 minutes despite some keystone kops defending at times that even saw him punching the ground after a double penalty save.
