The Stats That Pleased Impdom This Week

The Sincil return of  prodigal son Gary Simpson saw Lincoln City beat Southport at their own game to claim a vital 3 points with a 1-0 home win. A Power penalty on 14 minutes proved to be decisive as the Imps held on thanks to a Farman penalty save and a commanding début from defensive midfielder Todd Jordan.

The stakes could not be higher with the Imps sitting a point from the drop zone. But Jordan, who looks to be the latest in a long line of talent spotted by the gaffer, took a three League leap to illustrate what you need to be a footballer. Passion commitment and the desire to be part of a team ethic that digs deep and appreciates what it means to wear the shirt.  After Wrexham at home on Tuesday, it will be Nuneaton away next week, for the now the 18th placed Imps.  Hyde are at Luton and Stockport travel to Barrow the same night. That means Saturdays six-pointer is sure to see 4-500 Imps ‘yellow-socked-up’  and roaring us on to a victory that could to banish the BSN blues for good.

But to the stats fellow Imps, make mummy a cuppa, pour yourself a celebratory tipple and savour Sincil success………………….
