Money Spinning Cup Draw for The Imps – Halifax Or Chester

The Imps will entertain FC Halifax or Chester City in the Fourth Qualifying Round of the FA Cup.  Both phoenix clubs are bound to travel in numbers, making this a money-spinning tie with further booty up for grabs in the form of £12,500 prize money. Alas the live games do not start until the First Round or this would have been a candidate, perhaps dubbed Ashes versus Phoenix.

Halifax were reformed in 2008 and Neil Aspin’s side are 5th in the Blue Square North after narrowly missing out on promotion to the BSP last season (3rd losing to Trinity in the play-offs).  Chester, meanwhile, were reformed in 2010 and won the Northern Premier League last season. They sit 3rd in the BSN with games in hand. Both will fancy their chances against the 21st placed Imps with perhaps a 1000 travelling should either club prevail.
