Luton Big Game – Imps Form 2012/13 Recap

Luton Town’s visit is being billed as the Big Game.  The chances are they will bring a thousand to swell the coffers, so the atmosphere should be a cracking one for those Imps tempted to venture to the Bank for the first time this season.  So let us have a look at the Imps August and September form going into this one.

The Imps Form

Thank heavens we are playing them at home as the home form of 11th is much better than that of the away, now standing at 23rd of 24 sides in the division.  We are yet to win away, although September’s form sees us 12th of 24 whereas August saw us 19 of 24. Our longest winless sequence is 7 and our longest losing sequence is 3.  We have managed a sequence of two games unbeaten, although home form is our saving grace with two wins on the bounce. Could this be three? It would be a massive achievement should it come to pass.

Keeper corner – Paul Farman

Paul Farman has been magnificent thus far, despite keeping  just one clean sheet. His 57 saves,  have been inspirational, justifying STMI’s call for him to return to the England C set-up.  He is the best shot-stopper in the BSP with reactions that have seen 4 jaw-dropping double saves as well as a penalty save already this season. We chant England’s number one as he runs out each week and, if there was any justice there would be.
