New Ground? Substantial New Investment?
Imps Chairman Bob Dorrian and Lincoln City Holdings have clearly been playing things close to their chests. But today’s Q & A with BBC Radio Lincolnshire has shed at least a little light upon the goings on behind the scenes at an increasingly less community club. If only they would match this pro-activity and investment of time and creativity in a direction that would help us on the pitch.
The Imps appear to be in talks with an investor who could look to invest substantial funds. As to whether this involves ‘the consortium of up to twenty’ that is doing the rounds is anyone’s guess, although Mr Dorrian did say ‘investor’ suggesting this would not be a buyout of Lincoln City Holdings as such. Another director will be coming on board in the new year in addition to the said ‘investor’.
With regard to the intended ground move, perhaps Lincolnshire’s worst kept secret, given his trips to the Proact stadium, Chesterfield, Bob was also drawn to comment.
“We are still in conversations with various people with regard to a move from our current site at Sincil Bank. We are going to visit a couple of new Football League grounds that have been built so we can get some ideas.”
