Imps Board Agree Meeting But When?
Lincoln City FC have announced their intent to meet with fans via today’s Lincolnshire Echo, although a date is not as forthcoming as the announcement. Fans have been keen to avoid a planned protest on 15th September (Hyde FC at home), but progress appears slow, to the growing frustration of stay-away supporters wounded by the Imps continued and alarming fall from grace.
The event is described as a behind-closed-doors meeting between 12 hand-picked supporters and chairman Bob Dorrian and the directors seeking answers on the disappointing start to the season. LCB and the new umbrella initiative 1884 LCFC, has been central to fans groups coming together to raise funds for our ailing club.
Chief executive Steve Prescott said: “The chairman, directors and CEO are always keen to liaise with supporters. Earlier this year we offered an open invitation to meet with any supporters groups, to ensure that the club is managed in the most open and transparent way possible. Therefore the board would welcome the opportunity to meet with supporters’ groups following the team’s disappointing start to the season. We will listen to their concerns and answer any questions they may have.”
The on-line article went on to confirm – A date for the meeting has yet to be announced in which time Lincoln will hope to have ended a stuttering run of form. Full article here
