Could Smith, Taylor & Farman Join Duffy In The Stands?

With Rob Duffy definitely out, David Holdsworth is sweating over the fitness of Adam Smith (hamstring), Jamie Taylor (thigh) and goalkeeper Paul Farman (knee) for the Macclesfield game on Saturday and the visit to Gateshead on Monday.

Vic Erzantarz suspects a Reg ruse one way or another.

Although many will see this as gamesmanship ahead of a weekend that sees two games in quick succession, the Imps do realistically need to get some points on the board. We are now 15th and you feel Southport, Grimsby and Mansfield wont be below us for long.  We also need to be firing on all cylinders when we meat Alfreton, Nuneaton and Hyde over the next few games.  Kidderminster, our only win to date are also curiously still languishing at the bottom. To be pointless given their investment on the field shows just how unpredictable the BSP can be.

David Holdsworth is keeping things close to his chest, but we could see a couple of short-term non contract deals should the latest trio of injuries force his hand.  Forward Mo Farfana and midfielder Ashley Dunn are on trial at the club this week and one or both could get a game.  Ashley has played for Fleetwood and Witton Albion, while Mo has had a go Sweden. STMI’s Prof has struggled to find him although he reckons  – If He’s the Mali international defender who used to play for Toulouse, Reg has won the lottery and Josh Gowling will be sunning himself in the Bahamas come Tuesday. The again as Keith would say you can never have too many centre-halves and Futch and Nat Brown could do a job up top.
