Imps Scunthorpe Keeper Move Sees Draper Loaned To Sheffield

The Imps look set to offer a deal to on-trial ex- Scunthorpe youth keeper Jake Turner after 19 year old Nick Draper signed a one year loan deal with Sheffield FC today. Nick will get valuable game time at the worlds’s first football club – back to basics anyone?

Jake graduated from the Iron’s youth set-up and was seen as one for the future by Alan Knill who offered him his first pro-deal last May. Jake was loaned to Brigg Town last August to get some invaluable match experience but, upon his return, he found first-team opportunities to be non existent. It was somewhat frustrating being third in the pecking order behind Josh Lillis and Sam Slocombe as he failed to break through.

Jake was released in January 2012 and spent the remainder of the season with Winterton Rangers before Linking up with the Imps.
