13 Jake Sheridan Profile
Jake Sheridan has put the disappointment of Notts County and Tamworth rejection behind him and even came back to haunt Eastwood Town with two goals in our 4-2 friendly victory over the weekend. After moving out of the game and into factory work, he joined us on a non contract basis and has battled his way to a one year deal for 2012/13.
Jake, a hard-working midfielder, made an exciting debut in the 3-0 win against Ebbsfleet, but has earned more of a defensive reputation at the club since. After falling from favour at Notts County the midfielder spent a couple of seasons at Tamworth under Gary Mills. But new gaffer Marcus Law froze him out so Jake went part-time with Eastleigh. He is a determined genuine soul, sharing a loan spell at the Imps with factory commitments prior to his permanent switch in January. He is certainly a trier and has earned another year to prove he has got what it takes to make a living from the game at our level. Let us hope we see more of the creative side of your game Jake, that step over and eye for a shot or pass deserves a wider audience than the training ground.
