7 Jamie Taylor
Jamie Taylor is a goal machine, plying his trade at Aldershot, AFC Wimbledon, Dagenham & Redbridge Grays and Eastbourne. Alas, his time at Impdom has come to an end due to a family decision to return to the south. Lincoln threw him a lifeline, but the niggling injury curse returned to blight a season that suggested he could still be the 20 goal a season man we crave. Thanks Jamie, you repaid our faith in full, we will always remember your mercurial style and vital goals in a struggling side.
Jamie is a modern predator, an infectious player who likes to get into the action in and out of the penalty box. Not the tallest, perhaps the very personification of an Imp, when he gets the ball there is a sense of expectation and an immediate increase in the teams threat and momentum. He bagged a goal every 230 minutes plus 7 credited assistance, as well as untold nuisance value that also earned him 6 yellow cards. He gave us the lead in the Cup game against Walsall, but his braces against Telford and Stockport were inspirational in securing 4 vital points for the club at pivotal stages of the season.
Thanks Jamie and good luck. Will you return to Eastbourne where you bagged 28 goals in a glorious couple of seasons?
