BSP Average Away Support stats 2011/12

The Blue Square Premier Away support sees Luton Town, Wrexham,  Grimsby Town, York City, Mansfield Town, Stockport County, Cambridge United and Lincoln City all boast football League standard away followings. Add to that the fact that 40% of those were on Tuesday or Wednesday nights and you realise that passion is clearly the fashion in the fifth tier of English football.

The average away support stands at 207,  although Hayes and Bath – let us not rub it in – have been in the teens. Luton can claim first  place with 1754  at Cambridge respectively whilst   Grimsby are second with over 1717 at Lincoln City but its the highs minus the lows over a season that  tell the true tale.

So who are the loyalist BSP fans?

  1. Hi Guys

Sorry to say but your stats for the largest away following are wrong. According to the latest Luton match programme, we took 2018 fans to the away match at Kidderminster on Sunday 1 January. Beats Grimsby’s ‘record’ by a mile.

Looking forwad to seeing the corrected article.

PS We also took 1754 to Cambridge on 19 November so almost get 2nd place as well as 1st.

    • Tony according to the match report against Kidderminster on the Luton OS

      – 55 mins – 3,332 inside Aggborough today including 931 from Bedfordshire.

You are correct on the Cambridge stats and according to our OS there were 1717 Mariners at our place on Boxing day. although they needed some spaces behind the goal having filled the 2 blocks given to Away supports (1850)
